O texto é curto, mas é apenas uma introdução a uma análise acadêmica que acredita que certas imagens mostradas em clipes conduzem atitudes sexistas e racistas no público que os assiste. Tema interessante, daqueles que poucos querem discutir, mas sempre são importantes.

Years and Years: “Personally I’ll Feel Relieved When An Album’s Finished” por Mike Massaro na DIY O trio inglês Years and Years é uma das boas apostas pro futuro e embora só estejam começando, a banda já chama atenção. Em entrevista à DIY, os rapazes contaram sobre seu primeiro EP e a produção do aguardado álbum de estreia, além de se darem conta que muita gente além de seus amigos estavam ouvindo seu som.
“The process of a band, well most bands, is you’re always writing. You always have a lot of material. Whether it’s gonna end up on an album or not, I don’t know. And we’re not taking a chunk of time by saying ‘Finish the album in three weeks’. Personally I’ll feel relieved when an album’s finished, and I can look at it and go ‘That’s a Years & Years album that we made’. It’s hard to grasp.”

“And that’s what’s great about it, right? It originally wasn’t like that. It was just regular syllables at the end, and the lyric was, “This is a song called fuck or fight, it’s the same thing every night,” but Jim suggested it didn’t fit the mood. So I came up with that other idea, and [then-bassist] Josh [Zarbo] told me it ruined the song. But I thought it really made everything personal and unexpected.”
